Python Makes an Unexpected Entrance

TAIPING: A 5-meter python that fell from the ceiling of a house in Taiping was successfully caught by the Civil Defence Force (APM).

APM’s Quick Response

The local Taiping council posted on Facebook that a seven-member team responded to the emergency call at a house located on Jalan Ayer Puteh in Kg Dew, Kamunting, at 8 p.m. on Monday, November 25.

Snake Dangles Over the Sofa

The snake was filmed hanging from a ceiling hole, slithering over the sofa. The post received over 2,300 shares and 500 comments, many of which featured similar experiences with snakes.

APM Taiping also shared their thoughts on the event.
“I’ve already had three traumatic experiences with pythons entering my house,” said Noreen Faizah.
“We’ve caught four snakes with the help of our neighbors and the Civil Defence, releasing them at the Pasir Panjang forest reserve in Port Dickson,” explained Kay Layla JN.
“I felt like I was in the Anaconda movie,” said Wanie Gaban.
