KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 26 — A jeweller in Ipoh, Perak, was robbed of 3kg of gold outside his store this morning. The robbery occurred around 9:30am along Jalan Bendahara, as the jeweller was about to get into his vehicle to deliver jewellery. The thief’s sudden attack left him shocked and unable to defend himself.

Armed Robbers Surround the Victim

The victim was quickly surrounded by six robbers, all wearing masks and wielding knives and machetes. The jeweller was left stunned by the swift and aggressive nature of the attack, with little time to react. He later shared his sense of helplessness during the ordeal.

Robbery Involved Vehicle Collision

During the robbery, one of the robbers’ vehicles collided with the jeweller’s car. Though the impact was minor, the jeweller sustained slight injuries to his leg. Despite the frightening situation, he managed to avoid a more serious crash, which allowed him to focus on surviving the attack.

Coordinated Attack with Two Vehicles

The robbers employed a strategic approach, using two vehicles to trap the jeweller’s car and prevent him from escaping. With the victim cornered, they seized the 3kg of gold and quickly fled the scene. The jeweller was left shaken but unharmed, still in shock from the violent crime.

ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, the district police chief of Ipoh, confirmed that a robbery had taken place. Police are actively investigating the case, reviewing security footage and speaking with witnesses to identify the perpetrators. Efforts are ongoing to bring the suspects to justice.
