Government Allocations for Syed Saddiq Approved After Five Meetings

Government Allocations Syed Saddiq Expected Soon

PETALING JAYA: After engaging in five discussions with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman stated that government allocations are expected to be received soon.

Commitment to Transparency and Asset Declaration

He affirmed his readiness to sign a confidence and supply agreement (CSA) or a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and adhere to all conditions, including asset declaration, provided that it benefits Muar residents.

“If declaring my assets is required, I am prepared to do so. I was one of the earliest ministers to declare assets even before the elections, and I don’t mind doing it every year.

Optimism for Quick Implementation of Aid

“This is for the welfare of Muar residents, and I hope there will be positive developments soon, allowing welfare aid and development plans to be implemented without delay.

“If the agreement succeeds, everything will proceed smoothly. I appreciate this opportunity and thank Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Fadillah for their support,” he remarked on Monday (March 10).

Negotiation Progress Syed Saddiq with Opposition MPs

Previously, Fadillah, who heads the Government Consultation Council, confirmed that the former Muda president had agreed in principle to the government’s conditions. He noted that the finalization process is underway while responses from other opposition MPs are still pending.

Earlier, Syed Saddiq said he had to accept certain terms in order to secure funding for his constituency.
